As promised, here is our little intro of our friend Andrea and her amazing whole body health and wellness program. She's generously sharing this program to add to our experiences for our #JPFFamily! How old are you?
35, 36 on July 29! {Happy early Birthday Andrea!!! But let's be honest, she doesn't look a day over 25}!
Where are you from? Where do you live now? Where is your business located?
I'm originally from Northern NJ. Moved around a bit, but now live in Florida. I run my business out of Palm Coast, FL, but because I offer virtual training there is no geographical boundaries.
What is the name of your business?
Short Bio:
I’ve been involved in fitness since 2009 and have a passion for health. I’m a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, and group instructor, but my personal mission is to help others achieve complete health; spiritual, mental, emotion, and physical. I was actively coaching for almost 2 years, but had to put it on hold due to personal issues. The time has come for me to pick it back up, but not my way; God’s way. Truth in Love: Holistic Health is born.
In your own words, tell us the story of how your business began.
Shortly after having my youngest daughter I wanted to make healthy lifestyle changes to lose weight. I knew that the weight would come off slowly, but I knew that it would be a long lasting weight loss. My friend at work was training to run a marathon and I thought that would be the perfect long term goal to keep me focused and help me lose weight. What I didn't anticipate was falling in love with endurance running. 6 months later I ran my first marathon and have run 9 marathons, 1 ultra marathon, numerous half marathons and shorter races since then.
I lost 30 pounds, but when I was going through some personal issues I put on about 15 pounds. Although I was still running, my eating habits were not so great. I was coping with food; emotional eating at it's best. During a vacation, God told me to participate in a 21 day fast with the church I was a part of. I fasted as God instructed me to and during that time I was connected with Robin Barnes, a Beachbody coach, during a church event. We went for coffee, I shared my heart, and she shared hers and there was an instant connection; a divine meeting for sure. I became a Beachbody coach (I am no longer a Beachbody affiliate, but have the knowledge and experience from my time as a coach) and joined Robin's team.
Robin had a small group at church called "The Daniel Plan." The thoughts brought forth in that book along with Beachbody completely changed my view of health and fitness. Not only did I lose 20 lbs, but I also learned how true health looks like. Health is not just physical, but mental, emotional, and spiritual. I have been a NASM Certified Personal Trainer for years, but what I learned through these 2 platforms really allowed me to not only transform, but also help others transform. My health business is really about helping others achieve their goals and help my clients tap into a strength that I already believe is within them.
What is the program that you offer?
Our 40 Day Faith, Food, + Fitness Challenge is based on the Daniel Plan. It follows the book, co-authored by Rick Warren, Dr. Daniel Amen, and Dr. Mark Hyman. The scripture based integral health plan educates us on how to change our lives forever, one choice at a time, by focusing on the powerful combination of 5 key essentials, Faith, Focus, Food, Fitness, and Friends.
Unlike many other health books and plans out there, the concepts in The Daniel Plan will encourage you to deepen your relationship with God, gain education on how to keep your body healthy, and develop a community of supportive friends who will encourage you to make healthy choices each and every day. The result for you: gradual changes that transform your life inside and out.
To help get the most out of The Daniel Plan, Coach Andrea will lead you through this 40 Day Faith, Food, + Fitness Challenge, aligned with the concepts in the book. To highlight the importance of "Friends" and powerful community component, Coach Andrea will virtually bring together all participants via video conferencing once a week for the duration of this 6 week program; these virtual interactive meetings led by Andrea will allow you to learn simple ways to incorporate healthy choices into your daily lifestyle in every area: spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical. You will also be strengthened by your fellow #JPFFamily through a facebook group that allows you to share your journey online with others and support one another with questions and tips during your progress.
