Last Mother's Day I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff. He showed up as one of the eager volunteers to help renovate our farmhouse. Jeff had helped his dad years ago re-finish ceilings. He came back on two other occasions all the way from Lake City to finish our kitchen and my home office. Our ceiling was in shambles from the electrician's work prior to us moving in- so he literally restored it and made it beautiful! We are so thankful for Jeff and the other amazing people we now call friends.
As a "thank you" I gifted these families with a little mini session of their choice. I hope you enjoy the many cute faces of his sons Tyler (6) and Isaac (4-1/2).
Brothers make the best of friends!
I remember when I first began doing family sessions and like in those dark dingy studios, parents just want the kids to sit still and smile. Most of these photos turn out to look odd and cold to us. Perhaps its because we basically tell them to be the opposite of what they are. I have found that the beauty of authentic photography is letting kids be kids. Their personalities shine and make my work look easy! Not to mention a blast!
JUMP!
Love this shot!!!
Boys will be boys!
Nope, not a sour patch kid... Just a goofy face!
